Verschil tussen harde en zachte wax.

Hallo allen,

wie kan mij vertellen wat het verschil is in het gebruik van harde en zachte wax. Sinds kort ben ik erg fan van harde wax, omdat ik denk dat het geconcentreerder is, makkelijker te doseren is en zuiniger is.

Maar waarom verkopen ze nog zachte/vloeibare wax:
- Is het de bedoeling dat de harde wax over de zachte wax gaat??
- Is het omdat zachte wax sneller te verwerken is en dus minder duurzaamheid heeft, maar wel dezelfde resultaat geeft??
- of is het iets wat je zelf het prettigst vind werken??

Maw zijn er momenten wanneer je kan/moet bepalen welk soort wax hard/zacht je moet gaan gebruiken? Of heeft alles met smaak en gebruik te maken???

Ben ook een fan van harde waxen. Vind het prettiger te gebruiken/verdelen/verwerken. En moet zeggen dat de duurzaamheid voor m'n gevoel beter is. Maar denk voor al dat het een gevoelskwestie is.

In het geval van Dodo Juice waxen:

Answer: Dodo Juice waxes come in both soft and hard varieties, allowing you to choose the type of wax that suits you. Soft waxes can be applied by hand in a thicker layer, but hard waxes go on more thinly and evenly by applicator. Ultimately, the recipes are similar; it's the way they're made that's different.

Zelf laat ik de keuze afhangen van:

- waar heb ik zin in?
- gebruikersgemak
- een 'snelle' waxbeurt. (bijv. Fuzion, typisch een erop en eraf wax)
- wat wil de klant? (goedkoop: Natty's, duur: Fuzion, Dodo)

Met 1 of 2 of 3 waxen in je collectie is het wat makkelijker kiezen dan wanneer je +/- 35 waxen in je collectie hebt (wat ik dus ook heb) ...

Yup, it really doesn't make much difference. The texture is only really important for hand/fingertip/palm application. With pad application it makes less difference.

Our original recipes had a touch more carnauba in the hard wax recipes and more oils in the soft wax formulas, but since then we have made the hard wax recipes softer (due to popular request) and there is perhaps only 2 or 3% difference between the recipes. You'd never see differences in durability in practice.

It all comes down to the way they're applied, and even then, ambient temperature and technique plays just as significant roles.

I wouldn't really choose one over the other unless really wanting to apply a wax by fingertips or palms, in which case the softer recipes are definitely easier to use.

The texture is very soft with the soft waxes and semi-soft with the hard ones.

Soft is easier to apply by fingertips and spreads further.

Similar durability and finish.

Zou dus hetzelfde moeten zijn, alleen de verwerking is iets anders!
