welke wax?

Hey allemaal!

Ik vroeg me af wat een goede algemene wax is , voor om het even welke kleur van wagen.
Dodo juice bv heeft de hele dure 'zo puur mogelijke' maar harde carnauba natural. vind ik best aantrekkelijk.
of van zymol , meguiars etcetc..zijn er mooie aanraders , en het mag geld kosten eerlijk gezegd
Ik heb totaal geen ervaring met waxen etc , laat staan om te weten of ik beter een harde of zachte wax neem .
Alleszins , hij moet breed inzetbaar zijn , zowel proffesioneel als in de hobby.
Ik ben aan het proberen om zoveel mogelijk de wagens die ik in mijn beroep doe , goed te preserveren
Ook omdat ik verantwoordelijk ben voor elke wasbeurt en het mezelf dus wat aangenamer en makkelijker wil maken voor de komende wasbeurten etc
Zeker nu met de wintertoestanden en vieze wegen.
Ook bv zou het kunnen gebruikt worden na het opmaken , polieren etc van 2dehandswagens.
Tuurlijk bij de meeste klanten ben ik dit niet verplicht met al die nieuwe wagens, dus maar heel af en toe . Het mag dus wat kosten , zolang ik er maar lang mee toekom.

ps: soms doe ik serieuze overuren , gewoon om het toch maar op de 'correcte' methodes te doen en steeds perfectie te benaderen .
Daarmee zou een preserverende langdurige wax heel handig zijn.

Als ik het goed begrepen heb komt deze binnen 2 weken weer binnen.
Heb er zelf erg goede ervaringen mee. Ik gebruik hem icm. de polish/sealant Car-lack68.

Ik heb de 915 en ben hier meer als tevreden over..Geweldig product ,zeer goede duurzaamheid.

Wil je iets exclusievers..Supernatural..:ja

De Fuzion krijgt ook goede punten hier ,maar daar heb ik geen ervaring mee..

die supernatural ondertss al wat goeds van gelezen idd ..en er is een navulservice , dus ik vermoed een goedkopere vulset dan of zo?!
alleszins , die ga ik bestellen en die Collinite ga ik erbij nemen voor op het werk
Die Fuzion is nochthans ook verleidelijk ..iemand toevallig een voorkeur tss deze 2 en waarom?!
beide zou een beetje tezot zijn heh , vooral omwille vd prijs en ook omdat die enkel prive zal gebruikt worden en dus best lang mee kan gaan

De Fuzion heeft wel een gratis refill dus eigenlijk kost hij maar de helft.(Geloof ik toch)
De refill van de Supernatural moet je betalen en krijg je enkel bij de houten pot.
Dus op zich is de Fuzion goedkoper ,beter weet ik niet..Dennis (Dibbuz) heeft ze beiden ,dus mss kan hij hier z'n mening over geven..

Met de Collinite maak je geen slechte keuze ,fantastisch product voor dat geld..^

Is your wax clear-coat safe?
Yes.
The following waxes are clear-coat recommended:
- 845 Insulator Wax
- 476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax
- 885 Fleetwax Paste
- 915 Marque D’Elegance Auto Wax

Should I always apply one of your cleaners (920 Fiberglass Boat Cleaner or 840 Prewax Cleaner) before waxing?

It is not always necessary. Take a look at each scenario, depending on if you are working on your car or boat.

Boat: If it is older (more than 6 years) and has any oxidation, dirt or film embedded in the paint, use the cleaner first, then apply the wax. If the paint appears to be clean after a wash, then simply apply the wax and skip the cleaner. Collinite also makes a one-step formula called the #870 Liquid Fleetwax, which is a cleaner-wax combo. Its durability is not as strong as cleaning and waxing separately, but you will still get 2-3 months out of it. Also, if you have a larger boat (25+ ft.), it is a nice time saving option to have, which is why it is Collinite’s #1 seller in the Marine Industry.

Car: Only use the cleaner if the car is a non-clear coat lighter finish (white, silver, tan). Clear coats and newer finishes do not require a cleaner, and simply require a wax protectant. Always apply wax after using a cleaner.



What is the difference between the 476s and the 915 Marque D’Elegance?

In terms of durability, the 476s lasts an average of one month longer than the 915.
The 915 has more carnauba wax in the formula, and its finishing result is a warmer shine, and it is slightly easier to work with.

The 476s is the most durable product offered by Collinite, which is why it requires a little more rubbing and elbow grease.

What is the difference between the 845 and the 476s?

The 845 and 476s are made with the same ingredients, but the 476s lasts longer due to the fact that it has a higher concentration of natural and synthetic waxes. This is why the 476s is tougher to work with. The 845 has been Collinite’s overall best seller for 20 years due to the fact that it has excellent durability combined with an ease of use.

How long does your wax last?

Liquid/Gel Wax (845 and 925): 5-7 months depending on UV exposure.

Paste Wax (476, 885): 9-11 Months depending on UV exposure.

Marque D’Elegance (915): 8-10 months depending on UV exposure

Keeping your car in the sun all the time will slightly reduce these figures, and so will washing your car constantly with highly potent grease-cutting soaps. The wax is meant to protect your paint from the elements, so anything more than a non-abrasive soap is not necessary. Many times, hosing off your vehicle and drying it off with a towel will keep it looking great while preserving the coat of wax you applied.

Would you recommend waxing with a liquid/gel wax or paste wax?
This is personal preference. Both will give you very similar shine and protection. There is a direct correlation between difficulty of job and durability. The paste is considerably harder to work with, but the protection in terms of length of durability is superior. The liquid/gel application is more popular among users because it is considerably easier to work with and still lasts around 6 months.

If I wax my car/boat twice, will it give double the durability?
Waxing twice in a row will increase durability greatly, but it is not necessary. The products are formulated in order to provide lasting protection, and are not needed to be applied one right after the other.

But, if you wish to go over your car twice just to be safe, go over the hood, roof and trunk, as it will lend itself to the most rainfall and UV exposure. The sections of a car that will rust the quickest are around the wheel wells, so be sure that these are also protected.

For a boat, the hull will need the most protection because it is constantly in water

Ik zeg Fuzion, ik wordt er steeds enthousiaster over. Mijn wagen is veels te vies op het ogenblik maar als ik zie wat voor beading ik nog heb op het dak en motorkap, niet normaal!

hmm de collinite neem ik ongetwijfeld .
Maar tss de fuzion en supernatural vond ik het idd moeilijk .
Nu zoals je zegt , die Fuzion komt voordeliger uit, zeker al als hem langer blijft liggen , dat word hem dan
..ben een hele lijst aan het maken feitelijk van wat ik nog allemaal wil hebben

Ik moet even zeggen dat dit voor de Collinite ook zo is ,wagen zit onder het zout en vettigheid en de Collinite is nog steeds aan het beaden..Dit is ongetwijfeld een super aankoop geweest..!

De refill van de Fuzion is gratis en kan gewoon via ons aangevraagd worden. Dat is een eenmalige gratis refill.

De refill van de Supernatural geldt voor de houten 250ml pot. Een refill kost dan ongeveer € 95,-

Beiden waxen zijn super. Ik rij nu inmiddels sinds 100% tuning met Supernatural rond (nu 1,5 maand geleden) en de beading is nog super. De beading bij Dennis met zijn Fuzion is ook helemaal top!

Oh ja de Collinite waxen zijn een klasse apart qua prijs en duurzaamheid, zondermeer!

damn, zit nou weer zwaar te twijfelen over welke wax ik wil:
- collinite 915 besteld voor de duurzaamheid/kwaliteit per euro
- continue goede verhalen over fuzion en SuperNatural...

hmmmmmm

Laagje SuperNatural in de stick of Fuzion als topping bovenop de collinite 915.....

Zieke glans/beading met duurzaamheid....

Maar krijg al de Wolfgang Finishing glaze 3.0 + sealant 3.0, dus zou de Fuzion...

Collinite 915 ,Supernatural of Fuzion met geen enkele van deze producten kan je misgaan..

Vandaag de wagen gewassen ,zat onder het zout ,smerigheid (2 weken niet gewassen)..Gewoon vuil ,de Collinite was nog steeds aan het beaden..!Ondertussen is de waxlaag 4 weken oud ,toen gewassen en de sheeting was nog steeds 100% , de beading nog volledig intact..Niets als lof over dit product.
